11/7/15 – LA Mission Training

We’re working with the Los Angeles Mission to help youth get involved in local service opportunities. For this training event we met at church at 7:30 am and then headed down to their facility (303 E 5th St, Los Angeles, CA 90013). Training starts at 9 am, and we made it about 15 minutes early. You get to stand in line, fill out some paperwork, sit through an orientation (a little less than exciting, yet informative and insightful) and then tour the facility. This won’t get you fired up about serving the homeless but it’s required for future service opportunities, which we’ll be participating in soon (read more about that in a previous post here). We were done at about 11:00 am and stopped at Chick-fil-A for lunch on the way back to the church. Let us know if you’re interested in being a part of service with the LA Mission.
